Coaching

I follow the ICF's coaching ethics and competencies. My coaching approach is broadly described by the "British Eclectic Model"(1), using a variety of techniques according to my client's individual needs. I take a warm, non-directive and non-judgmental approach to help my client explore their topic from alternate perspectives. Using questions based in curiosity coupled with attentive listening, I enable my client to create new awareness to find their path forward and commit to action to achieve their aims. More on my coaching methodology is here.

My coaching experience spans career levels from individual contributors to managers and executives.

For coaching clients who request mentor or consultancy input, I can draw on my own experiences of managing teams and L&D functions, a solid commercial understanding from managing substantial training budgets, strong internal and external customer focus and application of contemporary L&D theory.

When not working I'm usually outside gardening or keeping up with DIY around the house. I enjoy keeping up with the latest in science and technology. For keeping fit I visit the gym regularly and like running or going for long walks.
